Our ServicesThe Burkeville Lodge was established in 1960 by the Virginia Association of Workers for the Blind to offer a vacation spot for the visually impaired. It has since expanded its services to also accommodate family reunions, wedding receptions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, business meetings and more. The lodge, nestled on 100 acres of land, consists of a one story brick structure with private and semi-private rooms that can accommodate up to 40 individuals. It has an onsite dining hall that can accommodate up to 60 individuals and offers home cooked buffet style meals upon group bookings of 12 or more. The grounds feature a swimming pool, covered walkways, a gazebo and flower gardens, nature trail and a stocked pond completely surrounded by railings and benches on the docks. When you’re not eating great food, you can swim, fish, hike or enjoy the quiet atmosphere in the gazebo. Bingo, card games, and local musicians round out the entertainment. Day trips to historical sites, shows, and plays and other points of interest are also available. In addition, the Burkeville lodge offers special events for major holidays throughout the year. If you are looking for a change of scenery, accessible accommodations and fellowship, the Burkeville Lodge is for you! |
